The Canton Area Chamber of Commerce and Rekindle the Spirit are happy to announce the first “Canton Wine and Cheese Festival”.
Guests to the Pennsylvania Apple ‘N Cheese Festival have often expressed their interest in attending an additional festival exhibiting our region’s rapidly growing wine industry. It is in response to these requests and the overwhelming enthusiasm of local vintners that we are proud to announce the First Annual Canton Wine & Cheese Festival.
The Canton Wine and Cheese Festival will be held on June 26, 2010 at the Manley-Bohlayer Heritage Farm in East Canton, PA, the home of the Pennsylvania Apple ‘n Cheese Festival. Hours of the festival will be 11 AM to 5 PM.
The Wine and Cheese Festival committee began meeting in late fall of 2009, interest grew and a larger volunteer committee began the planning phase in December of 2009. At the time of this release it is expected that there will be an estimated 10 wineries, 3 to 4 cheese vendors, and at least 20 vendors of various foods, arts and wine related items. In keeping with the goals of both organizations, this event will feature local wineries, musicians, artisans and vendors. The Alphonse Ciaccio Trio and Wyalusing Swing Choir will be performing as well as a third musical group yet to be announced.
