The Troy Area High School Drama Club is excited to announce that it will be producing the Broadway favorite "Godspell" on Friday March 5 at 7:30 pm and again on Saturday March 6 at 1:00 pm and 7:30 pm at the Troy High School Memorial Auditorium.
Tickets will be $8 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens and will be available at the Troy Area High School Office, Stull's Flowers in Canton or M.C. Insurance Associates in Troy.
Godspell is a high energy contemporary setting of the Gospel according to Matthew set in modern times.
The show features the music of Stephan Schwartz and includes such recognizable songs as: Day by Day, Prepare Ye, Light of the World, and By My Side. This year's production company returns the talents of senior Erik Young (Jesus) whose past accolades include playing the roles of Moonshine Martin in Anything Goes and Nicely-Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls.
Young's leadership and experience have brought much creativity and consistency to an otherwise young cast.
Other up and coming stars include: Holly Moore, Jacquelyn Blade, Samuel Antes, Bryan Dewalt and Alyse Tsiknas.
Leading the pit is long time Cobblestone director and local icon Cherilyn Ayres who also helps to keep the dances in step! Mark your calendars now for the Drama Club production of Godspell.
