Tops Markets Bid For Penn Traffic Approved

Friday January 29, 2010 US Bankruptcy Court Judge Peter Walsh has approved the offer of Tops Markets to purchase Penn Traffic, owner of BiLo Markets, for $85 million.

A small handful of underperforming stores are to be closed.

Although no official word has been announced it is expected that BiLo Markets in Troy and Canton will remain open under the ownership of Tops Markets.
