This website is a database of local news stories written by the staff here at The Canton Independent-Sentinel as well as a group of third-party contributors.  By-lines are given whenever an article has been contributed by a third party, however by-lines are removed from articles contributed by our staff.  These articles should be considered property of The Canton Independent-Sentinel.

This site was built using a database template created by Jake Howlett of CodeStore.net, and installed by Matthew S. Cooper of ConnectMyTown.com.  While this database template has been modified greatly from its original state, in the interest of the principles of open-source, we would like to give credit where credit is due.  Thanks Jake.

Website content, including articles, photos, and weekly section headers, is uploaded and managed by lifelong Canton resident Skylar Wilcox.  Articles are uploaded after the paper has gone on sale, but can be accessed from any computer for free, and feature color photos.

Feel free to comment on many of the articles posted here.  Post your opinion as you see fit.  You don't have to agree with us, that's the beauty of it.  We only require that you keep it clean.  Abusive behavior or objectionable content will not be tolerated.  We're confident that our community neighbors will adhere to these guidlines purely by habit.  This town is full of good people.
